Always wanted to play an Instrument? These are the one's Music Lessons Maghull can offer
A lot of people would like to play an instrument, but which one? Below are the ones that you can learn. Firstly you must have one to practise on at home. There are instruments at the studio for you to use during your lesson so you don't have to worry about bringing a Piano! If you want to learn Piano and don't have one, a keyboard will suffice in the first instance however you must be prepared to buy one once you start to improve. A digital piano is fine it doesn't have to be an acoustic Piano. If unsure just ask and we can give you advice.
Piano
Learn to read musical notation. Learn for pleasure or examination as we at Music Lessons Maghull are ABRSM registered. Play Classics to modern, Einaudi to Coldplay, Boogie to Beethoven. Recommended age to start 8yrs to 80yrs.
Guitar
Blues, Jazz, Classical, Metal, you name it we can help. All styles can be covered on Acoustic, Electric, Nylon stringed or Steel stringed Guitars. Traditional notation or Tab, or simply using chord diagrams, from beginner to advanced, Music Lessons Maghull will be able to guide you. Recommended age to start would be from 8yrs upwards.
Voice
You won't walk in having a voice like Johnny Rotten and walk out singing like Pavarotti, but we will get the best out of your voice. You can be taught voice control, breathing, mic and performance techniques; whether an accomplished singer or a pure beginner, Music Lessons Maghull can help. Recommended age to start would be 10yrs upwards however ask advice regarding starting younger.
Electronic Keyboard
Electronic keyboard is a good instrument to start off on and not the same as a Piano. You can learn to play for pleasure or take examinations at Music Lessons Maghull if you wish. It is ideal for folk who would like to try an instrument as results are quite quick in comparison to other traditional instruments. Recommended age to start 7yrs upwards.
Theory of Music
Theory of Music is the understanding of all the musical rudiments that enable you to read, write and compose music. You can learn as an interest and take ABRSM examinations at Music Lessons Maghull if you wish. Help with GCSE music is available if required where students can receive extra tuition in all 4 units of the required GCSE examination.
